A range of sizes for adding internal threads to pipe and conduit. These taps can also be used to thread components like manifolds. They have straight flutes that are good for most jobs.

High-Speed Steel—The most versatile taps resist heat and wear to stay sharp. They’re good for most metals and plastic.
Uncoated—The economical choice, these won't last as long as coated taps.
Titanium Nitride (TiN) Coated—Run at higher speeds and last twice as long as uncoated taps.

    2-in-1 Pipe and Conduit Taps

One tap threads holes in pipe and conduit from start to finish. Begin with the taper-chamfer end, which gradually engages with the material and requires minimal force to turn the tool. Then flip to the bottoming-chamfer end to thread all the way through the hole.
