    Rotary Hex Broaches

Image of Product. Front orientation. Broaches. Rotary Hex Broaches.
Used in CNC and milling machines, these broaches turn round holes into hexagonal ones with more accuracy than traditional push broaches. Pair them with a rotary broach holder (sold separately), which positions the broach at a slight angle so only one corner is cutting at a time. The hex-shaped holes these broaches create are useful for holding hex-head screws and shafts in finished parts, as well as for cutting hex drives into screw heads. They work on through holes as well as blind holes, which don’t go all the way through. If you’re cutting soft material, don’t have a CNC or milling machine, or don’t need accuracy, use these broaches in the traditional push style, without the holder.
A tolerance of 0” to 0.001” means these broaches cut with a standard degree of accuracy, making them good for most general applications. They’re made of M2 high-speed steel, the standard material for cutting tools.
