    Turn screws at an angle when you can't access them head on. These L-key sets have a ball tip on the long leg that engages the drive with less contact than a straight tip. Ball tips are handy for corners and tightly-packed areas, such as control panels and junction boxes. However, they don't grip as tightly as straight tips, and may strip the drive of the fastener if you crank them too hard. These L-keys are precision manufactured to tight tolerances. Made from high-quality hardened steel, they'll last a lifetime in your tool kit.
    Black-Oxide Steel—The dark, matte coating withstands occasional moisture.
    Blue-Painted Steel—These metric-sized L-keys have a distinctive blue color, so you can easily tell them apart from inch L-keys. The coating provides minimal corrosion resistance, so they are best for dry environments.
    Gold-Plated Steel—The 14-Karat gold finish resists corrosion better than black oxide to withstand rust in most wet and outdoor applications. However, gold is not as hard as other finishes, so it may wear off over time.
    Black Phosphate-Coated Steel—Paint adheres evenly to the surface of these L-keys, so you can add your own finish. The dark, matte coating resists rust in most wet and outdoor applications. However, it won't hold up to salt water and chemicals.
    Stainless Steel—With solid stainless steel construction, these L-keys have no coating that could flake off and damage the screw drive. They resist salt water and chemicals better than most of our steel L-keys, but are not quite as strong.
