Flexible Ultra-High-Temperature Electrically Insulating Mica Sheets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Mica. Flexible Ultra-High-Temperature Electrically Insulating Mica Sheets.
The most heat-resistant mica sheets we offer. Since they can also be shaped without cracking, they’re often used to make gaskets for automotive exhaust manifolds, gas and oil burners, and heat exchangers. A silicone resin binder gives these sheets enough flex to ship in rolls, so you can use a machine to punch out parts with less waste.
These sheets won’t melt like plastic or break like ceramic, so they can insulate electrical parts exposed to high heat and vibration. They can withstand temperatures up to 2000° F for a few minutes, but if they stay above 1800° F for too long, they may turn to carbon and stop insulating. Also known as phlogopite mica.
