Install these switches in areas with oil, coolant, corrosive chemicals, and regular washdowns. They're rated IP69K and NEMA 4X and 12 or 12K. Since they’re already protected inside a housing, you can mount them to a wall if there’s no space left in your electrical panel. You need to grip and twist the lever to actuate, so they won’t accidentally turn on or off if something bumps into them. To lock them in the off position, attach a padlock (not included) to the lever. Use these switches to turn motors on and off, or with other circuits such as lighting and electric heat circuits. They do not provide overload protection.
Polybutylene Housing—Switches with a Polybutylene housing can be turned into a handheld control for moving around your workstation by attaching a cord and cord grip. The housing won’t swell in moist environments.
Power Indicator—Switches with a power indicator use LED lights to show the status of power flowing into the switch and power flowing from the switch to your motor. This can help you check for issues, such as a welded contact or phase loss, without having to open the housing.

Enclosed Motor Starters

The NEMA 4X rated enclosure protects these starters from corrosion and washdowns. They provide on/off control for a motor and protect it from overloads—starters will shut the motor off if current exceeds the full-load current rating. Set the adjustable overload relay for the exact overload current needed. All have auxiliary contacts to send a signal or connect to another device, such as an alarm or indicating light.
Note: The full-load current rating of your motor must fall within the starter’s overload current range. Match input voltage, also known as coil voltage, to your control circuit; motor voltage may be different. Look for the full-load current rating on the motor’s faceplate, or estimate the current rating (given the motor’s power and voltage).
Add auxiliary contact blocks to signal more devices.

Compact Enclosed Motor Starters

Sized to fit in tight spaces, these starters have a shorter height and narrower depth than most other starters. A NEMA 4X rated enclosure protects them from corrosion and washdowns. They provide on/off control for a motor and protect it from overloads—starters will shut the motor off if current exceeds the full-load current rating. Set the adjustable overload relay for the exact overload current needed. All have auxiliary contacts to send a signal or connect to another device, such as an alarm or indicating light.
Note: The full-load current rating of your motor must fall within the starter’s overload current range. Match input voltage, also known as coil voltage, to your control circuit; motor voltage may be different. Look for the full-load current rating on the motor’s faceplate, or estimate the current rating (given the motor’s power and voltage).

Enclosed Reversing Motor Starters

Rated NEMA 4X, these enclosed starters are protected from corrosion and washdowns. Use them with motors that run forward and backward, such as motors for conveyor belts. They provide on/off control and protect motors from overloads—starters will shut the motor off if current exceeds the full-load current rating. Set the adjustable overload relay for the exact overload current needed. All have auxiliary contacts to send a signal or connect to another device, such as an alarm or indicating light.
Note: The full-load current rating of your motor must fall within the starter’s overload current range. Match input voltage, also known as coil voltage, to your control circuit; motor voltage may be different. Look for the full-load current rating on the motor’s faceplate, or estimate the current rating (given the motor’s power and voltage).

Manual Override Enclosure Disconnect Switches

Power Pole | Neutral Pole |
Keep power running while you access your enclosure. Unlike standard enclosure disconnect switches, which shut off power as you open your enclosure, these have an override function. Engaging the override allows you to take voltage reading, troubleshoot an error code, or fine tune the speed of your line. Cut the shaft to fit your enclosure.
Use additional power poles to control more than three circuits. Add neutral poles to open and close the neutral leg of a three-phase system.
Lockout—All switches have a lockout so you can secure them in the off position with a padlock (not included).
Safety Interlock—When the override is off, these work like a standard disconnect switch—a safety interlock prevents your enclosure from opening when power is on. The interlock also prevents the switch from turning on when the door is already open.
