Mil. Spec. External Retaining Rings

These rings are manufactured and tested to strict U.S. military standards for material and construction. Shaped in the most common style, they are tapered so the thickest section is opposite their opening for a secure 360-degree hold. Open with retaining ring pliers, pass over the end of a shaft, then release them to spring into a groove.

Ring ID is measured with the ring uninstalled.

Cadmium-Plated Carbon Steel—A stronger option than stainless steel, these rings will also resist corrosion in areas where saltwater is present.

15-7 PH Stainless Steel—Combine strength with corrosion resistance. While harder than most stainless steel rings, these will dent and scratch easier than carbon steel ones.
