Cut grooves on both the inside and outside of a workpiece with the same insert. These inserts are compatible with top-notch style threading and grooving systems, which use a highly rigid clamping design, resulting in a smoother finish and superior tool life. When the edge on one face dulls, flip the insert over. Pair these inserts with a holder (sold separately) with a shank size that fits your machine and workpiece setup. Larger shanks are more stable, while smaller shanks fit into tighter spaces and allow for finer cuts.

Right-hand inserts pair with right-hand external or left-hand internal holders. Left-hand inserts pair with left-hand external or right-hand internal holders.

Round-nose inserts are a good choice for creating smooth, rounded grooves. They’re useful for O-ring grooves, where a sharp corner may damage the O-ring during installation.

Inserts sold individually come packed in a clear plastic case to protect cutting edges during shipment. Inserts sold in packs come factory sealed from the manufacturer for maximum traceability.
