Also known as spin-on filters, cartridges thread directly onto the filter head. A pressure relief valve protects against excess pressure that can build up when a cartridge is clogged. When the difference in pressure before and after the filter exceeds the opening pressure, the relief valve opens.
Filters with fiberglass-media cartridges trap and hold more particles than paper cartridges, extending their life.
Filters with paper-media cartridges are more economical than filters with fiberglass media, but they need to be replaced more frequently.

Reusable-Cartridge Hydraulic Fluid Filters
Clean and reuse the stainless steel wire cloth filter cartridge. A pressure relief valve protects against excess pressure that can build up when a cartridge is clogged. When the difference in pressure before and after the filter exceeds the opening pressure, the relief valve opens. The housing has a magnetic drain plug to catch small ferrous particles.
Replacement cartridges are available if the existing cartridge has been damaged or if it is clogged with particles that can't be removed with a nylon brush.

Steel and zinc housings can be used with up to 20% biodiesel blends.
Nickel-plated steel housings can be used with 100% biodiesel or biodiesel blends.
