A screen makes measurements easy to read. The micrometers in these sets have a speeder knob that reduces the time it takes to open and close around your part. To prevent overtightening, they have a ratchet-stop thimble that keeps the spindle from turning once it reaches your part. You'll still be able to turn the speeder knob, but it will click instead of tighten. Use them in machine shops where it’s dusty, wet, or exposed to coolant because they’re IP65 rated.

All have zero-position memory, also known as absolute (ABS) positioning, which retains the measuring position when the micrometer is off. A zero-set button lets you start measuring at any point.
