Calibration Certificate—Choose these micrometers when precision measurements are required for quality control or by regulation. The certificate is traceable to NIST, so you can be confident your measurements are correct and consistent.

Friction Thimble—Control how tightly the spindle closes on your part without the risk of damaging it. You can keep extending the spindle in small increments once it reaches your workpiece but not enough to overtighten. The thimble will start to resist turning to let you know you’ve applied the right amount of pressure.

Zero-Position Memory (ABS)—Retain the micrometer's position when turned off, so you don't need to reset the zero point each time. Also called absolute (ABS) positioning.
