Coolant-Resistant Electronic Long-Reach
Outside Micrometers with Calibration Certificate
This micrometer comes with a calibration certificate traceable to NIST that states it has passed a test for accuracy. It is IP65 rated for protection from dust and water jets. An extra-deep throat gives you a long reach for measuring sheet metal and other large items.
The micrometer’s ratchet-stop thimble has a speeder knob to reduce the time it takes to open and close the micrometer. It also has a constant-force mechanism, so that once the spindle contacts the surface of the measured object, it will stop tightening. This ensures repeatable measurements and prevents over-tightening. When the spindle stops tightening, the thimble stops turning, but the speeder knob will continue turning with a clicking sound.
Zero-position memory, also known as absolute (ABS) positioning, retains the measuring position when the micrometer is turned off. A zero-set button lets you start measuring at any point. SPC data output allows for connection to a computer or data processor.
USB data cable (sold separately) connects the micrometer directly to your PC.
10-pin data cables (sold separately) connect the micrometer to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or multiplexer.
Wireless data transmitter and receiver (sold separately) allow you to transmit measurement data from the micrometer to your PC without being tethered by a cable.
