Flexible-Shackle Padlocks

Wrap the flexible braided shackle around tools and equipment to prevent theft and unauthorized use. Unlike a standard rigid shackle, it can bend and weave to secure multiple points with only one padlock, even for items with irregular shapes or corners. The flexible shackle also lets you conceal the lock body behind objects or tuck it into tight spaces. Because the shackle is thinner than a standard shackle or cable lock, it is easier to cut.

Choose-a-Color Flexible-Shackle Lockout Padlocks

Alert workers to locked-out equipment—these padlocks come in a variety of colors that stand out from typical padlocks. Assign a color to individuals or jobs, such as blue for plumbing or red for electrical. A long, flexible shackle simplifies your lockout process by replacing the need for a separate cable and padlock. Weave the shackle through multiple hasps or lockouts. To make sure you’ve secured equipment properly, you can’t take the key out until the shackle is locked. These padlocks help you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 standards for safe lockouts. However, the shackle is thinner than a standard padlock shackle, making it easier to cut.
