Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Work Pants

These pants meet NFPA 70E and NFPA 2112 standards to protect your legs from electrical arc flashes and flames. Choose pants that meet the arc rated category required by your workplace. These pants are rated Category 2, the most common rating for industrial applications.

The pockets are reinforced to prevent rips and keep tools from poking through.

Cotton/Nylon Fabric—Cotton/nylon pants are lighter in weight and more breathable than denim pants.

Denim Fabric—Denim pants are more durable than cotton blend pants. Spandex in the denim fabric lets the pants stretch so you can move freely. These pants also have a tool loop near the waist to hang tools.

Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Bib Overalls


Cotton/Nylon Fabric	Aramid/Modacrylic Fabric

These overalls meet NFPA 70E for protection against flames and electrical arc flashes. They’re adjustable for a snug fit that shields skin from hazards while keeping you mobile—tighten and loosen the suspenders and secure cuffs around boots with hook and loop straps. Choose a bib overall that meets the arc rated personal protective equipment (PPE) category required by your workplace. The higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance.

Find your waist size by measuring just above the top of your hip bone. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under these overalls.

Cotton/Nylon Fabric—Cotton/nylon overalls are rated Category 2 for protection against arc flashes, which is the most common rating for standard industrial applications. They are soft yet wear resistant, so they’re more breathable than modacrylic/aramid overalls. A water-resistant coating on these overalls keeps you dry. They have leg zippers, making it easy to pull the overalls over bulky boots. With hip slits on both sides, you can reach through to your pants pockets.

Aramid/Modacrylic Fabric—Aramid/Modacrylic overalls are rated Category 4 to provide the highest level of protection from arc flashes. Made from the same material as the outer layer of a firefighter’s jacket, these overalls are extremely durable.

Wear these fitted garments under clothing for an added layer of protection against intermittent exposure to flames and radiant heat. They meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 1 or 2. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. All base layer materials are lightweight, breathable, and moisture wicking for added comfort.

They all comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.269 standards for flame and arc flash protection.

Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Rain Suits

Bib overalls have adjustable suspenders to modify the length.

When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Find your waist size by measuring just above the top of your hip bone. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under these suits.

PVC Coating—These suits feature PVC coating.

Nomex Fabric—These suits are made of Nomex fabric.

Snap Closure—Jackets have snaps down the front and a storm flap to keep rain out.
