    Wear- and Chemical-Resistant PEEK Rods

    Even when exposed to chemicals, these rods remain wear resistant. Made of PEEK, they stand up to repetitive processes as well as abrasion. They’re sometimes used as a lightweight substitute for metal parts in high-stress applications.

    Plastic Dowel Pins

    Assemble circuit boards and other electronic parts with dowel pins that insulate against stray current. These pins prevent short circuits and electromagnetic interference (EMI) that can harm performance and cause malfunctions. They’re also lighter than metal pins if you need to reduce weight in prototypes and moving assemblies. Dowel pins are machined to tight tolerances and have a uniform diameter for a snug fit. Since they can be hard to remove, they are best for fixtures that don't need to be adjusted or taken apart frequently.

    Metal-Detectable PEEK Rods

    Often used in food and pharmaceutical plants, these PEEK rods help you prevent contaminated products from leaving your facility. They contain metal and chemical additives that set off metal detectors and show up on X-rays if they fall into your line, which help you comply with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs. Bright blue in color, you can find and remove them quickly. All are FDA compliant for direct contact with food.
    These PEEK rods resist wear from abrasion and repetitive processes. They also stand up to extended contact with water, high-temperature steam, and clean-in-place (CIP) cycles with harsh cleaners and sanitizers.
