These pins adjust to take up play in a system or hold parts in holes of varying thicknesses. Spin the handle up or down, then tighten the locknut to change the length by up to ½”. Pins lock in place until you push the button to release the spring-loaded retaining balls. Use them in a hole as close to the diameter as possible, but not larger than the diameter at extended ball height. The T-handle has a hole to add a ring and lanyard (sold separately). Pins are made of cadmium-plated steel for good strength and some corrosion resistance. Breaking strength is measured as double shear, which is the force required to break a pin into three pieces.
