Dowel Pins
Use dowel pins as pivots, hinges, shafts, jigs, and fixtures to locate or hold parts. For a tight fit, your hole should be equal to or slightly smaller than the diameter shown. Breaking strength is measured as double shear, which is the force required to break a pin into three pieces.
Steel pins are the strongest dowel pins. Steel pins are precision ground except for 1/32" diameter pins.

Ejector Pins
Also known as knockout and forged pins, use these pins to push parts out of molds. Pins are precision-ground to tight tolerances and hardened for strength and wear resistance. Machining is not recommended.
H13 tool steel pins resist rapid changes in temperature.

Ejector Sleeves
Use these sleeves with mold pins to form holes, bosses, and other features in parts, and then push the parts out of the mold. Made from H13 tool steel, these sleeves are strong, hard, and resist wear. They've been surface hardened with a process called nitriding, which adds even more strength and wear resistance. They’re precision ground to tight tolerances. Machining is not recommended.

Vibration-Resistant Female-Threaded Anchors for Block and Brick
Often referred to as four-way expansion anchors, these expand in four directions to resist loosening from vibration. To install, tap into a drilled hole with a hammer and position your fixture. Then, insert a screw or threaded rod and tighten. Pull-out strength and shear strength values are 25% of the ultimate values.

Hole-Alignment Pins
Line up holes by driving these pins through existing rivet, pin, and bolt holes in multiple pieces of metal. Alternatively known as lineup taper punches.

Double-Taper Hole-Alignment Pins
When one side of these pins wears out, use the other one. They’re also known as barrel drift pins. Use alignment pins to align structural components such as I-beams and angle iron for bolting, riveting, and welding.

Nonsparking Hole-Alignment Pins
Made from aluminum-bronze that is Factory Mutual approved, these nonmagnetic, corrosion-resistant pins inhibit sparking. They satisfy OSHA requirements for nonsparking tools for locations where flammable vapors and combustible residues are present. Nonsparking tools are not, however, classified as antistatic because they do conduct electricity. Use alignment pins to align structural components such as I-beams and angle irons for bolting, riveting, and welding.
Note: Do not use these tools in direct contact with acetylene.
