Squared Retainer with Easy-Release Tab
The wire retainer snaps closed to secure the pin for a one-piece alternative to a clevis and cotter pin combination. Also known as PTO pins.
Pins with easy-release tab are easier to install and remove than other wire-lock clevis pins.
Zinc-plated steel pins have good strength and some corrosion resistance. Pins that meet SAE J429 comply with specifications and testing requirements for material quality. They have a coating that protects them from rusting due to salt spray.
18-8 stainless steel pins offer a balance of strength and corrosion resistance. They may be mildly magnetic.
