Medium-Pressure Galvanized Iron

A galvanized finish gives these fittings fair corrosion resistance. They have the strength to handle medium-pressure applications.
Plugs with external hex drive and plugs with round body are also known as bull plugs; the center is hollow, which allows fluid to put pressure on the threads for a tight seal.

Standard-Wall Butt-Weld Steel Unthreaded Pipe Fittings
Butt-weld fittings allow for a smooth connection that provides maximum flow. They have beveled ends that, when flush to pipe, create a trough for a strong, permanent weld. Fittings are also known as Schedule 40. They are for use in noncorrosive environments.
