One-Piece Socket Retaining Rings

The pin on these retainers is permanently connected to the ring, so they're less likely to dislodge when used with an impact wrench compared to two-piece retaining rings. Use them to secure impact sockets and adapters to a tool that has a hole- or a ring-and-hole style retainer. Rings for 3/4" square drive and larger have a crush gauge on the pin that deforms when sockets become worn and need to be replaced.

Stretch-Fit One-Piece Socket Retaining Rings

Stock fewer sizes of retaining rings—these stretch to fit a range of socket diameters. They have a retaining pin to secure your impact sockets and adapters to a tool that has a hole- or ring-and-hole-style retainer. A crush gauge on the pin deforms when the socket becomes worn and needs to be replaced. You can reuse these rings, but only on the same size or larger socket.
