    Clear Ultra-Impact-Resistant Polycarbonate Bars

Image of Product. Front orientation. Plastic. Clear Ultra-Impact-Resistant Polycarbonate Bars.
At only half the weight of glass, these polycarbonate bars are often used for windows, machine guards, instrument gauge covers, and signs. Polycarbonate is comparable to Lexan, Hyzod, Tuffak, and Makrolon. It has greater impact strength than Plexiglas® acrylic and can be used in similar applications.

    Scratch-Resistant PETG Sheets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Plastic. Scratch-Resistant PETG Sheets.
A satin texture on one side of these PETG sheets makes them semi-clear. The satin side is more resistant to scratching and glare than standard PETG. The other side is smooth. You can see light from the other side, but not detailed shapes. They’re often formed into complex shapes such as displays, signs, and trays, and are easy to cut with sheet metal shears. These sheets have better impact strength than Plexiglas® acrylic and can be used in similar applications.

    Chemical-Resistant Ultra-Low-Friction PTFE Film

Image of Product. Front orientation. Plastic. Chemical-Resistant Ultra-Low-Friction PTFE Film.
PTFE has a naturally slippery surface that allows objects to easily slide across it. It resists most solvents and stands up to extreme temperatures. It’s also an excellent electrical insulator.
Skived—Skived products are more likely to curl than extruded and molded products.
Rough Texture—The rough texture masks scratches, scuffs, and fingerprints.
FDA Standard—For adhesive-back film that is FDA compliant, the film meets the standard, but the adhesive does not.

    Shim Stock

Image of Product. Front orientation. Shim Stock. Sold Individually.
Cut into custom shapes to create shims that suit your needs. With thickness tolerances as fine as a strand of hair, the shims will precisely align, space, and level components on dies, presses, and machinery.
You can stack multiple shims to achieve your exact thickness, but stacking more than four may cause them to shift. Remember, fewer shims are better, so a couple of thicker shims are more stable than a bunch of thin shims.
Ultra-Chemical-Resistant PTFE—The most chemical-resistant shim stock we offer, it stands up to the widest range of harsh acids, bases, solvents, and corrosive cleaners, even at temperatures up to 500° F. It also won't mar delicate surfaces.
Plastic—Softer than metal, it won't mar delicate surfaces and it will never rust.

    High-Temperature FRP Fiberglass

Image of Product. Front orientation. Fiberglass. High-Temperature FRP Fiberglass.
With more than twice the heat tolerance of standard FRP fiberglass, these sheets withstand temperatures up to 370° F. Constructed of fiberglass-reinforced polyester, they are strong and lightweight. Use them as an alternative to wood in structural applications.

Impact-Resistant High-Strength Carbon Fiber Sheets with Kevlar Core

Image of Product. Front orientation. Carbon Fiber. Impact-Resistant High-Strength Carbon Fiber Sheets with Kevlar Core.
Often used to build frames and structures, these lightweight sheets combine the strength and stiffness of carbon fiber with the impact resistance of Kevlar. With carbon fiber on the outer layers, these sheets are extremely difficult to bend—they’re nearly as stiff as pure carbon fiber. The carbon fiber layers also provide good strength under tension, comparable to 6061 aluminum. Sandwiched between the carbon fiber layers of these sheets is a Kevlar core. Known for its toughness, the Kevlar core helps prevent sheets from failing under a variety of stresses, such as punctures, cuts, impact, and wear. The Kevlar core also has a lower density than carbon fiber, making these sheets even lighter than sheets made from carbon fiber alone.
