    Plastic Cutters

    Plastic Cutters with Ultra

    Grip

Safely cut plastic near electronics. The grips on these cutters divert static from your application to prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) from building up and damaging sensitive equipment. Designed to make flush cuts with clean edges, these cutters are often used to snip cable ties and remove supports from 3D-printed parts. Spring-assisted jaws open automatically when you release the handles to help you make repeat cuts. The blades have a black-oxide coating that reduces glare under bright lights. They also resist corrosion in dry environments.
Plastic Cutters with Ultra Grip—Cutters with ultra grip have polypropylene handles that are slip resistant and comfortable to hold for repeat cuts.
Adjustable Stop—Cutters with adjustable stop allow you to adjust the distance between the blades with a set screw. To keep blades sharp for longer, leave a tiny gap between them.

    Profile

    Also known as diagonal-cutting pliers.
Tapered Head—Tapered-head cutters fit more easily in tight spaces than oval-head cutters, but they’re less durable.
Ultra Grip—Ultra-grip cutters are the most comfortable for repeated cuts. The grips are rubber and plastic, so they won't slip.
Semi-Flush—Semi-flush cutters are the most widely used for electronics assembly and produce a slightly pointed, pinched end. They are generally more accurate than pointed-cut tools.
Spring-Assisted Jaws—Spring-assisted jaws open automatically when you release the handles. Those with an oval head and an ultra grip allow you to engage and disengage the spring-assist feature.
Wire Catch—Cutters with a wire catch grip the wire after it has been cut, so it doesn’t fall off or fly into your workspace.
Black-Oxide Steel—Black-oxide steel cutters resist corrosion in dry environments.
Cut Profile—Cut profile refers to the amount of pinch left on the tip of the wire after it has been cut.

The extra-wide nose on these pliers pulls and stretches thin material without tearing it.
Bent Nose—Bent-nose pliers reach around closely spaced components and other obstructions.
