About Chain

Find a chain style and capacity that's up to any task, from hanging a 5 lb. light fixture to rigging a 17 ton generator.

Thin, lightweight links make this chain ideal for plumbing fixtures and other small spaces. Connect it to toilet handles and floats to activate valves and adjust water flow. You can also secure lids and caps on containers with this chain, and use it as a pull chain for fans and lights. It's also known as safety chain.

Warning: Not for overhead lifting.

Steel—Best for dry environments since moisture will cause this chain to rust.

Zinc-Plated Steel—A common and economical choice, the zinc plating resists occasional moisture.

Corrosion-Resistant 302-304 Stainless Steel—Won't rust in wet environments, but corrodes when exposed to salt water and chemicals.

Lightweight Aluminum—At one-third the weight of steel, aluminum chain is easy to carry and won't corrode when exposed to occasional moisture.

Brass—With a shiny gold finish, brass is also more durable than plated steel and won't rust in wet environments.

Register Chain

Open and close furnace doors, vents, and skylights in hard-to-reach spots. The cut ends of each link interlock onto the next one, making it strong but easy to pry open to add more links.
