About Sealant Flexibility

Selecting Clamps Using Pipe, Conduit, or Tubing Trade Size

Made of PTFE, this tape has a slippery surface that keeps threads from binding to make parts easy to assemble.

PTFE tape with graphite creates a better seal between threads than plain PTFE tape, which helps prevent fluid and gas leaks. The graphite attaches to the PTFE, so this tape does not emit harmful VOCs.

Strap Hangers

Cut as much strap as you need to hang duct, pipe, and other materials.

Perforated straps have mounting holes, so there’s no need for drilling. Straps that have two mounting-hole diameters have alternately spaced large and small mounting holes. Solid straps allow you to drill your own mounting holes.

Flexible hangers create custom-sized loop hangers when they’re wrapped around pipe and round duct.

Galvanized and zinc-plated steel straps have good corrosion resistance. Copper-plated steel straps resist corrosion when used with copper tubing. 304 stainless steel straps have excellent corrosion resistance.

Hook-Mount Hangers

A versatile solution for temporary hanging of pipe and tubing at work sites as well as anywhere welding and fastening are not possible. Water-Activated Fiberglass Repair Tape

When exposed to moisture, this resin-coated fiberglass tape becomes rock-hard in about 30 minutes. Use it for rigid, waterproof repairs. It works on metal, plastic, rubber, and fiberglass, and can be sanded and painted when dry. This tape can also be used to repair pipes.
