Air-Powered Wire Cutters
Good for high-volume cutting and trimming.
Handles have a safety lever that prevents accidental operation; push the thumb latch forward to activate.
Jaws can be mounted in the handle for left- or right-hand use.
Style D jaws allow precise cutting from above. Pointed-cut jaws cut and crimp in one action.
Cut profile refers to the amount of pinch left on the tip of the wire after it has been cut. Pointed cutters produce a deeply pointed, pinched end. Use for electrical and general applications. Semiflush cutters are the most widely used for electronics assembly and produce a slightly pointed, pinched end. They are generally more accurate than pointed-cut tools. Flush cutters produce a cut with virtually no pinch, creating clean connections for easy soldering. Flush-cut tools don’t last as long as pointed and semiflush.

Leave clean cut edges in a variety of pliable materials. Also known as scissor-blade shears, the bottom blade remains stationary while the upper blade moves up and down to cut. Blades do not close completely.

Also known as slotting shears, these cutters have a double blade that creates two cuts and a 7/32" wide waste strip that peels back, leaving two smooth edges with little distortion. To start cuts in the center of material, drill a starting hole.
