Skip the messy compounds—these bobs come embedded with aluminum oxide, the most common abrasive material. Best for polishing steel, they’re also a good all-purpose option for other materials when specialty bobs aren’t available. Use them to polish small areas and hard-to-reach spots with a drill or grinder for bits and burs. Grit is approximate.
Polyurethane Rubber—Harder than neoprene and wool felt, these bobs hold their shape longer, even during heavy use.
Neoprene—These bobs balance durability with flexibility. They last longer than felt bobs and conform to surfaces better than polyurethane rubber.
