Fix misshaped cylinder walls, including those that are out-of-round or tapered. These hones have rigid abrasive stones that remove small amounts of material. They’re adjustable, so you can size them to your cylinder in micrometer increments. Clip two stones and two felt cleaning wipers onto the holders. Then, turn the knob to expand until the stones press against the cylinder. Use with portable drills, moving the hone up and down to leave a cross-hatch pattern that retains lubricant.
