Chemical-Resistant Disposable Aprons

The Tychem fabric on these aprons shields you from harmful chemical spills and splashes. Tested against hundreds of chemicals at many concentrations each, Tychem is specially formulated to resist degrading or seeping. Don’t worry about rinsing these aprons off after use—they’re designed to be worn once and thrown away.

Bib Apron

Tychem 2000 Fabric—Tychem 2000 (formerly known as Tychem QC) aprons resist inorganic acids and bases, such as nitric acid and sodium hydroxide.

Tychem 4000 Fabric—Tychem 4000 (formerly known as Tychem SL) aprons have a resin film in the coating, which makes them more chemical resistant than Tychem 2000. They hold up against alkalies and harsh acids, such as hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid.

Cut-Protection Aprons

Leather

Prevent cuts and punctures—these aprons have two of the highest levels of ANSI cut protection available. They keep you safe from sharp materials such as metal, glass, and wire. Adjust both the neck and waist straps for a comfortable fit. The waist strap buckles in the back.

Leather—Leather aprons with a polyethylene plastic/steel liner protect you from heat, sparks, and cuts. Rated ANSI level A7, the liner withstands jagged glass and heavy metal stamping. For additional durability, the apron is stitched with high strength aramid thread.

Bib Apron

Polyethylene—Polyethylene is often used in food preparation. It holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids.

Polyethylene/Tyvek Fabric—Polyethylene/Tyvek provides better tear and abrasion resistance than polypropylene, polyolefin, and polyethylene. It holds up to occasional contact with nonhazardous liquids, such as water and paint spray. It is made of heat- and pressure-bonded fibers for a material that’s soft yet strong.

Tie Closure—These aprons tie in the back.

Metal Detectable—Some polyethylene aprons are metal detectable—they have a metal additive that sets off metal detectors if a piece of the apron falls into your line. They’re also blue, so it’s easy to find and remove the piece. They help you comply with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs to keep contaminated food from leaving your facility.
