Battery Disconnect Switch Lockouts
Wrap these lockouts around levers on battery disconnect switches and other disconnect switches. These lockouts block your switch’s movement to prevent equipment from starting up or powering down. They help you comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 requirements for the control of electrical circuits to prevent injuries.
Style A can be fully removed from your switch, so they’re ideal for temporary lockouts all around your facility. They come with two hinged covers—one for round handles and one for oval-shaped handles.
Style B bolt permanently onto your switch, but they don’t interfere with normal operation when open. This makes them good for switches you need to lock out frequently. They consist of two lockout devices for either switch position—use the green one for on; use the red one for off. After bolting them to either side of your switch housing, secure them around your handle with a padlock when you want to lock out.
