Precise-Fit Adjustable Pliers
More jaw positions than standard adjustable pliers enable fine adjustment and a firm grip. These tools provide the gripping power of a pipe wrench and the adjustability of pliers.
Pliers with flat jaws grip flat objects better than pliers with V jaws. Their flat jaws let you fasten and unfasten objects similar to a wrench. Pliers with V jaws have multiple points of contact for gripping round and irregular workpieces.
For pliers with push-button adjustment, push and hold the button to change the jaw position, then release it to lock them in place. For squeeze-to-adjust pliers, open the jaws fully and squeeze the handles so the jaws firmly grasp the object, then press the button to disengage.
Cushion-grip pliers have plastic grips for comfort. Ultra-grip pliers have grips made of hard and soft materials for comfort and slip resistance. They’re shaped to fit comfortably in your hand to reduce strain during repetitive tasks.

Precise-Fit Adjustable Pliers for Rounded Fasteners
Move the curved jaws to 15 positions for fine adjustment. These pliers have a bottom jaw that is shorter than the top for a firm grip on the flats of bolt heads and nuts that have rounded corners. Push and hold the button to adjust the jaws, and then release the button to lock them in place. Also known as battery terminal pliers, they are also good for gripping other round material.
