The diameter of these pins varies less than the width of a human hair. They’re machined to tolerances as tight as 0.0003" for a close fit. The flat, low-profile head is made to fit into tight spaces. These pins are less likely to get in the way than pins with a loop grip or T-handle, but they’re more difficult to remove. Secure with a cotter pin.

With additional hardness, these pins are less likely to bend, break, and wear than those that aren't heat treated.
High-Strength Black-Oxide Alloy Steel—Stronger than stainless steel, these pins won't deform from stress and vibration. The dark, matte coating creates a finished look but offers minimal corrosion resistance. They're best for dry environments.
