About Pressure Switches
More
Compact Pressure Switches
With a round body that’s at least one-third thinner than traditional pressure switches, these fit in tight, cramped spaces. They’re often built into pumps and hydraulic systems with limited space in order to turn equipment on and off, activate automated controls, or signal alarms when they reach a set pressure. These switches are single pole, double throw (SPDT) and can either turn one device from off to on (normally open) or on to off (normally closed). They also meet at least one American, Canadian, or European safety standard.
Switches with an internal setpoint adjustment have a sliding cover to prevent accidental setting changes.
NEMA 6 and IP67 rated switches seal out dust and water from washdowns and temporary submersion.

Hazardous Location Pressure Switches

Built with an explosion-proof enclosure to meet NEMA 7 and 9 standards for hazardous locations, these switches were tested and verified by UL and CSA for use where explosive liquids, dust, and gas are present. When they reach the set pressure, they power equipment, signal controls, or trigger alarms. They’re single pole, double throw (SPDT) and can be installed to turn one circuit from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed). In addition to being UL listed and CSA certified, these switches are CE marked, so they also meet European safety standards.
All switches are IP and NEMA rated for use outdoors and protection from some corrosion, dust, and spraying water.
IP67 and NEMA 4X rated switches seal out water from temporary submersion and have increased protection against corrosion, similar to 304 stainless steel.

Differential Pressure Switches for Liquids

Detect the difference in pressure between two points. For instance, these switches can indicate a filter is clogged in a pump or cooling system. When the differential pressure reaches your setpoint, they turn equipment on and off, activate automated controls, or signal alarms. They are single pole, double throw (SPDT) and can be installed to turn one circuit from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed). All meet at least one safety standard.
NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X rated switches can be used in dirty and wet areas exposed to washdowns and weather. NEMA 4X rated switches also have increased protection against corrosion, similar to 304 stainless steel. NEMA 13 rated switches can be used in dirty, damp, and oily areas. IP66 rated switches protect against dust and washdowns.

Adjustable-Reset Vacuum Switches
Control the amount of vacuum change between when these switches activate and deactivate by adjusting when they reset. Also known as adjustable deadband and differential switches, you can set the reset point anywhere within the setpoint range. Use them to power equipment, signal controls, or trigger alarms when they reach the set vacuum. They’re single pole, double throw (SPDT) and can either turn one circuit from off to on (normally open) or on to off (normally closed). All meet safety standards.
All protect against some corrosion. NEMA 4X and IP66 rated switches can be used in dirty and wet areas exposed to washdowns. NEMA 4X switches also stand up to weather and have increased protection against corrosion, similar to 304 stainless steel.
