    Style F

    The traditional pressure switch. These power equipment, activate controls or alarms, or kick-off other actions when they reach a set pressure. Larger than compact pressure switches, they're easier to wire. These switches are single pole, double throw (SPDT) and can be installed to turn one circuit from off to on (normally open) or from on to off (normally closed).

    NEMA 4X Enclosure Rating—NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X rated switches can be used in dirty and wet areas exposed to washdowns and the weather. NEMA 4X also has increased protection against corrosion, similar to 304 stainless steel.

    Compact Pressure Switches

    With a round body that’s at least one-third thinner than traditional pressure switches, these fit in tight, cramped spaces. They’re often built into pumps and hydraulic systems with limited space in order to turn equipment on and off, activate automated controls, or signal alarms when they reach a set pressure. These switches are single pole, double throw (SPDT) and can either turn one device from off to on (normally open) or on to off (normally closed). They also meet at least one American, Canadian, or European safety standard.

    Differential Pressure Switches for Air

    Often used with ovens, dryers, and HVAC systems, these switches detect small differences in air pressure to indicate a filter is clogged or help you maintain a certain air pressure. When the differential pressure reaches your setpoint, these switches can turn equipment on and off, activate automated controls, or signal alarms. They are single pole, double throw (SPDT) and can be installed to turn one circuit from off to on or from on to off. All meet at least one safety standard.
    When measuring pressure in ductwork, pair them with a static pressure probe.
    IP54 Enclosure Rating—Switches rated IP54 protect against dust and splashing water.
    NEMA 13 Enclosure Rating— NEMA 13 rated switches can be used in dirty, wet, and oily areas.

    Pressure Switches for Oxygen

    Cleaned to ASTM G93 requirements and then bagged, these switches meet the strict cleaning standards required for oxygen service lines. Removing all contaminants extends the life of the switch and helps maintain a safe environment.

    NEMA rated, they seal out dust and water from washdowns and the weather. These switches also meet UL 508, are CE marked, and are UL and C-UL recognized components, so they meet American, Canadian, and European safety standards.

    Avoid complicated inline installation—these flow switches insert into a tee or pipe outlet, so you don’t need to disassemble your pipeline. They have a paddle that’s pushed as your liquid moves through to determine flow. When the paddle reaches a set position determined by the set point, it activates or deactivates equipment. They are single pole, double throw (SPDT) and can either turn one device from off to on (normally open) or on to off (normally closed). They should be mounted vertically into a large-diameter horizontal pipeline, so liquid pushes the paddle.
    These flow switches are calibrated with water. You can use them with other liquids, but they may not measure accurately if the liquid’s viscosity differs from water.
    Choose a fitting material that is compatible with the liquid you're running through your line.
    Noryl Body—Switches with a Noryl body have a paddle that you trim to adjust the set point. The more you trim, the higher the set point.
    Socket-Connect Fitting Connection—Socket-connect flow switches bond to an unthreaded PVC pipe tee or pipe outlet with PVC cement and primer (not included).
    Brass Fitting—Brass and 316 stainless steel fittings resist impact better than Noryl fittings.
    Noryl Fitting—Noryl fittings work with a wide range of chemicals.
    IP65 Enclosure Rating—IP65 rated switches seal out dust and can be lightly rinsed.

    Fixed-Set-Point Insertion-Mount Flow Switches
