Stainless Steel Hex Screw and Nut Kits for Pipe Flanges
![](/prerenderstable/mvPRE/contents/gfx/imagecache/943/94368a138-@halfx_637235713717472760.png?ver=imagenotfound)
Use these kits to connect standard-size stainless steel pipe flanges for ANSI Class 150 or 300. They meet ASTM specifications for material quality, and the dimensions meet ASME specifications. Length of screws is measured from under the head.
316 stainless steel kits are more corrosion resistant than 18-8 stainless steel and have excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water. They may be mildly magnetic. Some kits have blue PTFE-coated nuts. This coating is slippery, chemical-resistant, and prevents galling. It also helps nuts thread smoothly.

18-8 stainless steel pan head screws have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic. Length is measured from under the head. For partially threaded screws thread length may vary from the minimum thread length published to fully threaded.
PTFE-coated stainless steel screws won’t stick or bind as you thread them into a hole.

These screws have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic. They’re angled under the head to sit flush within countersunk holes. Length is measured from the top of the head.
Screws with an undercut profile have a shallow head for use in thin materials.
PTFE-coated stainless steel screws won’t stick or bind as you thread them into a hole.

Medium-Strength Steel Threaded Rods—Grade B7
![](/prerenderstable/mvPRE/contents/gfx/imagecache/913/91315a033-@halfx_636960271905724730.png?ver=imagenotfound)
Grade B7, these threaded rods have a tensile strength about one and a half times stronger than low-strength steel rods. They meet the pressure and temperature requirements of ASTM A193 and are often used to secure pressure tanks, valves, and flanges.
Blue PTFE-coated steel threaded rods are chemical resistant and have a slippery surface to thread on smoothly.

Sleeve Splines and Bearings
![](/prerenderstable/mvPRE/contents/gfx/imagecache/413/4134n33-roc-@halfx_1684756360.png?ver=imagenotfound)
Often used in wet and dirty environments, these sleeve splines and bearings create a compact linear and rotary motion system. The grooves on the splines transmit rotary power as the sleeve bearing moves freely along their length. Sleeve bearings don't have moving parts that can be damaged from dirt and debris. And they don't need to be lubricated, making them overall lower maintenance than ball bearings.
Splines are PTFE coated to reduce friction, so bearings slide smoothly and last longer. They’re stainless steel, so they won’t rust.
Bearings are plastic with a bronze shell, so they won't rust. Threaded bearings allow you to mount your load directly to the bearing. Anti-backlash bearings minimize the space (play) between the bearing and spline for more accurate, repeatable positioning.
Flanges work with threaded bearings to give you a surface with mounting holes to attach your load.
