High-Temperature PTFE Pipe Nipples and Pipe for Chemicals
- For Use With: Deionized Water, Hydrochloric Acid, Solvents
- Temperature Range: -450° to 550° F
- Specifications Met: ASTM D1710
- Fittings: Use Schedule 80 PTFE Plastic
- Flanges: Use Class 150 PTFE Plastic
This PTFE pipe can withstand a wider temperature range than any of our other plastic pipe for chemicals. It has the chemical resistance to stand up to acid and solvents. Also known as Schedule 80 pipe, it has thick walls for heavy duty industrial applications. The material won’t leach contaminates into the line, so this pipe is commonly used in high-purity processes, such as semiconductor and clean room applications. It has a super-smooth interior for unrestricted flow. Pipe meets ASTM D1710 specifications and testing requirements for material quality.
Warning: Never use plastic pipe fittings and pipe with compressed air or gas.
Sealants cannot be sold to Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Northern Virginia, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Utah due to local VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) regulations.

To prevent leaks in threaded connections, apply a non-hardening, plastic-compatible sealant to the male threads. Tape or sealants with PTFE are not recommended for plastic-to-plastic threaded connections. When making a threaded connection be careful not to overtighten the threads. To prevent cracks and leaks, finger tighten the fitting, then wrench-tighten one to two turns.
Fully threaded pipe is also known as a close nipple; it is threaded on each end to the center.

Plastic Cam-and-Groove Hose Couplings with Shut-Off Valve for Chemicals
These polypropylene couplings are lighter in weight than metal cam-and-groove couplings, yet have the corrosion resistance to handle chemical applications. They have excellent strength and abrasion resistance. Couplings consist of a plug and a socket that are sold together as a set. Use them to quickly connect and disconnect medium-to large-diameter hose lines. Also known as dry disconnects and double shut-off couplings, the plug and the socket both have a shut-off valve for minimal fluid loss when disconnecting the hose line. To connect, insert the plug into the socket, press the locking levers down, and turn the valve handles to the open position. The locking levers prevent accidental disconnection. To disconnect, turn the valve handles to the closed position, lift both levers, and pull out the plug. Couplings cannot be disconnected when the valves are open. They are not compatible with any other style of coupling. Dust covers are included to protect the ends of couplings when not in use.
Note: The listed length refers to the length of the coupling when connected.
Warning: Relieve all pressure before disconnecting the couplings. Do not use cam-and-groove couplings with compressed air or gas.

- For Use With: Acetic Acid, Magnesium Chloride
- Max. Pressure: 100 psi @ 72° F
- Temperature Range: -20° to 150° F

Minimal-Spill Push-and-Turn Hose Couplings for Chemicals

Quickly connect and disconnect hose lines used with a variety of chemicals, from adhesives to isopropyl alcohol and ink. Any part of these couplings that contacts fluid is made from 316 stainless steel, C-276 Hastelloy, PTFE, or fluoroelastomer to withstand the chemicals in your line. Tough enough to handle frequent use, these couplings are designed to be virtually spill free. Also known as dry disconnects and double-shut off couplings, both the plug and the socket have a shut-off valve that stops the flow of liquids when they’re separated. To connect, push the plug into the socket and lock with a quarter turn. The socket swivels, so you won’t have to twist your hose to attach the plug. It also has a rubber lip and large handles to prevent damage if it’s dropped.
A complete coupling consists of a plug and a socket (both sold separately). They’re compatible with MannTek, Avery Hardoll, Todo-matic, and other dry-disconnect couplings that meet NATO standard STANAG 3756.
Aluminum couplings are lighter in weight than stainless steel and have good corrosion resistance.
316 stainless steel couplings have excellent corrosion resistance.

Nickel-Plated Brass Low-Pressure Barbed Tube Fittings for Air and Water
The nickel plating on these brass fittings provides extra protection against corrosive environments. The plating won’t peel or chip, so the fittings keep a bright, polished appearance. The barbs grip onto tubing, providing a secure hold with no clamp required.
