An emergency release gives you a way to escape if the door closes with you or someone else inside the enclosure. These locking latches hold doors shut when pushed closed. Mount these locking latches horizontally to the face of doors on refrigerators and industrial enclosures with the strike plate mounted on the frame. They're keyed alike, so they’re good if you need several locks that open with the same key. The rod for the emergency release is replaceable.

Locking latches have an adjustable strike plate to compensate for changes in offset caused by sagging doors and worn or flattened gaskets. Door offset is the space between the door face and the frame when the door is closed.

Open your door with a card reader or other access control device. In case of emergency, these latches have a lever to manually open your door. You can also connect a cable, rod, or handle (not included) to operate these latches remotely in areas with obstructions. To close these latches, push them in, and they firmly grip the strike bolt or plate on your door to hold it shut. Also known as single-stage rotary latches, they only have one latching position to keep them closed. Push them hard to make sure they don’t accidentally open.

These latches withstand temperatures up to 480° or 570° F. They have a magnetic force that holds doors closed.
