    About Wire and Cable
    industrial info icon

Compare wire vs. cable and choose the right option based on gauge, number of conductors, insulation, and current rating.

    Radiation-Resistant Lead Wire

The PEEK insulation on this wire won't degrade when exposed to radiation, and is often used in nuclear energy production. The insulation also resists harsh chemicals and high pressure, so it can also be used in equipment for mining or oil and gas exploration. It meets UL 94 V-0 for flame retardance. If it is exposed to flames, it minimizes how much smoke and halogen it releases.
Stranded Wire—Stranded wire is flexible, so it’s pliable enough to be pulled around corners.
Solid Wire—Solid wire bends and stays in the position that you bend it. It’s easier to terminate than stranded wire.
Silver-Plated Copper Wire—Silver-plated wire is stronger and more corrosion resistant than bare wire.
