Style C | Style D |
Push or pry apart material with these rams by attaching them to a hydraulic pump. Use hose to connect the ram to a pump; add a pressure gauge to monitor hydraulic oil pressure levels and guard against overload.
Style A—Style A rams are wedge-shaped to squeeze into tight spaces to pry, lift, and spread.
Styles B and C—Styles B and C rams lift or push material. Style B rams have a lower profile than Style C rams.
Style D—Style D rams lift or push material and have an unthreaded hole through the center that can be used to create a pulling action. Run a threaded rod through the bottom of the ram and fasten or weld the rod to the material you are trying to pull. Often used to free stuck parts.
Ram Collar Thread Size—Rams with collar threads are threaded at the top of the ram for mounting in a fixture or with a mounting plate (sold separately; see Mounting Plates for Hydraulic Jacks)
