Oversized High-Speed Steel Round-Shank Reamers
With Straight Flutes
The reamer diameter accounts for the 0.001" oversized diameter rating, so these reamers create a looser fit than standard reamer sizes. The shank diameter is slightly smaller than the reamer diameter.
Straight-flute reamers are for general purpose cutting.

Reamers for Taper-Pipe Holes
Use these reamers before tapping with taper-pipe taps. Turn by hand with a straight-handle tap wrench (sold separately). Flutes have a left-hand spiral and a right-hand cut and push chips downward, so they are commonly used in through holes.
