Tight-Hold Internal-Tooth Internal Retaining Rings

Internal teeth prevent your ring from tilting, bending, and falling off. When there's side clearance from a chamfered end, for instance, a standard ring may tilt over time and lose its hold. Commonly used to retain shafts in roller drum systems and other heavy duty equipment.

Ring OD is measured with the ring uninstalled.

Phosphate-Coated Carbon Steel—The most popular choice, these are strong and wear resistant. Their finish adds some corrosion resistance, but only to minimal dampness.
