    Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink Ring Terminals

Image of Product. Front orientation. Terminals, Ferrules, and Lugs. Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink Ring Terminals.
Our best ring terminals for preventing wire pullout and loose connections. When you apply heat, the plastic grips the wire so it stays put when tugged, vibrated, or under tension for long periods. As the barrel heats up, the solder melts the stranded wire into a solid, rigid wire that holds tighter and conducts electricity better than unsoldered wire.
Solder and Crimp-On Connection—The tightest hold you can get from a ring terminal. First, squeeze the barrel firmly and evenly onto the wire with a crimping tool. Next, solder and heat shrink the barrel to add even more stiffness and strength.
Polyolefin Insulation—The durable plastic prevents short circuits and maintains a tight seal on the wire when exposed to high temperatures, heavy vibration, and long-term wear and tear from maintenance and adjustment.

    Tight-Hold Compression Lugs

Image of Product. Front orientation. Terminals, Ferrules, and Lugs. Tight-Hold Compression Lugs.
These prevent pullout better than other compression lugs, and they give you more options for attaching the wire. To attach with solder, heat the enclosed solder onto your stranded wire. This bonds the wire to the lug for a secure hold and a continuous, ultra-conductive metallic connection. If sharp bends and tugs aren't a concern, you can skip the soldering and use a compression tool to squeeze the barrel tightly and evenly onto the wire. Compression lugs are a step up from set screw lugs when you need a physically strong connection, though set screw lugs attach to even larger wire.

Tight-Hold Heat-Shrink-Insulation Terminal and Splice Kits

Keep on hand a variety of different sized terminals and splices with the most secure, sealed connection we offer. Heat the outside and the enclosed solder melts to secure your wire. The insulation also shrinks when heated, keeping out water and contaminants.
Ring, quick-disconnect, and spade terminals have insulation covering the barrel to prevent short circuiting with nearby wire. Butt splices have a fully insulated connection tab, so no metal is exposed when they’re mated.
