Manual Tools for Blind Rivets
These tools have changeable nosepieces—use the nosepiece that matches your rivet's diameter. To install a rivet, insert the mandrel into the nosepiece of the tool. Place the rivet in the material and squeeze the handles. The tool pulls the mandrel through the rivet's body, creating a secure hold on both sides of the material, and breaks off the excess mandrel.

Air-Powered Hammer and Rivet Setter Kits for Solid Rivets
Install solid rivets with the tools in these kits. They include an air-powered hammer (also known as a zip gun), rivet setters, and a bucking bar. Slide a rivet setter into the hammer and place the bucking bar against the back side of your material. When you strike the rivet head, the back of the rivet is flattened against the bucking bar to fasten your material. When paired with chiseling bits, the hammer can also be used as a chiseling air hammer. Stroke length determines the hammering power. The longer the stroke, the greater the power.
All kits include setters for common sizes of round domed-head rivets. To install other sizes of round domed-head rivets or different head types, you’ll need a matching rivet setter. When installing flat and flush head rivets, use setters with a rubber guard to prevent marks and dents. Those with a swiveling body stay flush with the installation surface even if your hammer isn’t perfectly aligned.
