About Gas Springs
Gas springs are typically used to assist in opening lids, covers, windows, conveyors, and seats—similar to a hatchback opening on a car.

Riveted Ball Studs for Gas Springs

Install these ball studs into thin material—they’re riveted, so you only need access to one side. Since they’re not threaded, you don’t have to worry about your material being thick enough for threads or have to tighten a nut to secure them. They won’t loosen with vibration because of the rivet. They are permanently installed, making them difficult to replace or change.
Mount your gas spring in almost any position: attach a ball socket end fitting (sold separately) onto the ball of one of these studs. Mount directly into any panel, lid, or door.
