Twist-Resistant Rivet Nuts for Soft Materials
A ribbed body and wedges under the flange bite into soft materials such as brass, aluminum, and composites to prevent spinning when you tighten a screw. These rivet nuts create permanent threads in sheet metal and other surfaces that are too thin to be tapped. Installation requires access to just one side of your material. The flange distributes the load and holds the nut against the surface. All resist rusting in wet environments.
Install them in a drilled or punched round hole with a rivet nut tool. The tool collapses the nut, creating a backside flange that holds the nut to the material.
Length is measured from under the flange. Installed length is the maximum length of the barrel when installed.
Aluminum nuts are one-third the weight of steel nuts, so they’re often used in assemblies that need to remain lightweight. However, they’re about half as strong as steel nuts.

Rivet Nuts for Plastic and Composites
Add strong, permanent threads to plastic and composites. As you install these rivet nuts, a large backside flange forms to distribute loads across a broad area. Installation requires access to only one side of your material. Secure them in a drilled or punched round hole in thin surfaces with a rivet nut tool. Made of zinc yellow-chromate-plated steel, these nuts are suitable for wet environments.
Length is measured from under the flange. Installed length is the maximum length of the barrel when installed.

Scratch-Resistant Screw-to-Install Rivet Nuts
A PVC coating minimizes scratches to the surface of your material and makes these rivet nuts more rust resistant than zinc-plated steel rivet nuts. Install these nuts in sheet metal with only a screw, no special tools required. Large slits in the body collapse and flare out as you thread the screw in, creating a flange on the back of your material. That backside flange distributes force, preventing these rivet nuts from pulling through thin surfaces. They add permanent threads into material that’s too thin to be tapped. Installation requires access to only one side of your surface.
For even quicker installation than threading a screw, use a rivet nut tool. Length is measured from under the flange.

Steel Low-Profile Rivet Nuts with Installation Tool
Everything you need to add threads to sheet metal in low-clearance areas. Along with low-profile rivet nuts, these kits include mandrels and an installation tool. As you install these nuts, the threaded portion is drawn into the sleeve, reducing how far they stick out the back of your material. They also have a flange that’s half as thick as those on other rivet nuts, so they have a low profile on both sides of your panel. A tin-zinc plating protects from rust in wet environments and reduces friction, so they collapse smoothly. These rivet nuts create permanent threads in surfaces that are too thin to be tapped. Installation requires access to just one side of your material. The flange distributes the load and holds them against the surface.
To install, thread a rivet nut onto the mandrel, insert the nut into a drilled or punched round hole, push down on the tool's T-handle, and turn clockwise.
