Steel Twist-Resistant Rivet Nuts
About twice as strong as aluminum rivet nuts, these steel rivet nuts are zinc yellow-chromate plated for corrosion resistance. A ribbed body holds the nut in place so it won't turn when tightening a screw. Also known as blind inserts, they can be installed when you have access to only one side of the material. Install in a drilled hole using a rivet nut tool. The tool collapses the nut, creating a backside flange that holds the nut to the material. Length is measured from under the flange. Installed length is the maximum length of the barrel when installed.

Tight-Spot Hex Head Screws
A high-strength alternative to blind rivets, use these screws when only one side of the material is accessible. To install, hold the washer in place with a wrench, and then use a hex socket to turn the screw. When the screw is tightened, the attached nut expands the sleeve to create a strong clamping force on the back of the material. Dimensions meet ISO 4017 (formerly DIN 933) specifications. Length is measured from under the head.

Air-Powered Rivet Nut Tools
Smaller and lighter than cordless and hydraulic rivet nut tools, use these to install thin-walled bulbed, ribbed, sleeve, and smooth rivet nuts. To use, thread the nut onto the included mandrel and press the trigger to spin the nut onto the tool. Place the nut into the material and press the trigger to install the nut. Press the trigger one more time to spin the mandrel off.
