To help prevent injuries, this padding triggers a safety stop when it’s touched. Built-in pressure sensors signal your equipment to stop moving within nine milliseconds. Install this padding anywhere contact is a concern—it’s often used on carriages, guide rails, and autonomous vehicles.
For a complete system, you’ll need a control box and enough pads to surround your equipment. All components meet international safety design standards.

Pads are made up of a mounting base and an outer layer that contains the sensors. Made from foam, the outer layer cushions impacts and reduces the risk of injury. Pads also have built-in LEDs that change color to indicate their status. Blue means that the padding is fully operational. If a pad senses contact, it turns red, and the surrounding pads turn yellow.
To install, remove the outer layer and use the mounting holes to fasten the base to your equipment or to t-slot framing. Each pad includes a cord to connect to another pad. You can link up to 15 together.

Connect control boxes to your safety circuit to send a stop signal if any pad detects contact. They have duplicate outputs—also called redundant signals—so they’ll stop your equipment even if one output fails. Once you’ve cleared a collision, press a button to reset the safety system.
These boxes are already programmed to control up to 15 pads, so there’s no complicated configuration software or programming needed. To install, use the included cords to connect to a pad and to terminals on your PLC, relay, or controller.
