Stainless steel samplers are the most durable and chemical resistant. They also resist corrosion. Less porous and less likely to scratch than plastic, they’re easy to sanitize. Open and close them by pulling up on the center ring.

Pump the handle to draw liquid out of a tank or drum through a hose into sample bottles. Only the hose and hose weight come into contact with the liquid, reducing the possibility of cross contamination.

Sterilized so they won’t contaminate your samples or lines, these liquid samplers are often used in food processing, pharmaceutical, and biotech applications. Unlike traditional sampling methods such as ladles and cups, they don’t expose samples to the surrounding environment. These samplers use gravity to draw out liquid through the needle directly into the bag. The needle has a luer lock connection, so it’s easy to remove the needle after you take the sample. You can also swap the needle out beforehand if your application needs a different kind.

These bags are best for taking large samples. They’re ISO 10993 compliant, so they’re approved for use in medical devices. They meet USP Class VI, meaning they’re made of plastic that’s been tested to the highest standards to reduce the risk of leaching into biological samples. They help you monitor sludge, which is important for maintaining healthy heating systems and meeting environmental regulations for sewage. Not for use with ethanol or ethanol-blended fuel.

Made of a strong plastic, these samplers are rigid enough to push through tough layers of sludge to collect a complete sample. A valve lets in liquids and solids, then blocks them from going out. These samplers consist of three hollow 5-ft. tubes. Screw together as many as you need to match the depth of your tank. Since they’re detachable, they’re easy to transport. Add extensions (sold separately) to make samplers longer.

Polypropylene containers are good for general use. They have a joint that pivots up to 90° to help you scoop and prevent your sample from spilling. Choose stainless steel containers for collecting hot or corrosive samples.

Cleaned and individually bagged, these dippers reduce the risk of cross-contaminating samples. Use them to scoop and transfer liquid, then dispose of them when done. The hook end lets you stage them on the side of your tank or vessel, so they’re there when you need them. Thread on the lid to seal your sample and snap off the handle to use these dippers as containers.

Cleaned and bagged in a Class 8 clean room, these spatulas won’t contaminate your samples. They’re also FDA compliant for direct contact with food. Scoop, sort, or spread materials, then toss these spatulas when you’re done. Made of polystyrene, they are firm yet flexible enough to scrape the sides of containers without breaking. The narrow blade fits inside test tubes and other small containers.

Spatulas with a U-shaped blade have raised edges that keep powders and granules from falling as you move them between containers.

Spatulas with a straight blade are often used to scrape and spread pastes or gels. Since they don’t have raised edges, it’s easy to see if you’ve transferred every last speck.
