    Spiral-Wound Sanding Rolls

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sanding Rolls. Spiral-Wound Sanding Rolls, Straight.

    Straight

As the outer layer wears away, new abrasive is exposed. Also known as cartridge rolls. A shank adapter or tapered spindle with a shank is required (both sold separately). The most common abrasive material, aluminum oxide is hard enough to sand steel and wood. The diameter listed is for the large end of the roll.
Straight—Straight rolls are for use in channels, fillets, recesses, contours, sidewalls, and other hard-to-reach spots.

    Spiral-Wound Sanding Rolls with Shank

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sanding Rolls. Spiral-Wound Sanding Rolls with Shank.
The secure bond of the roll to the integrated shank prevents loosening from vibration while sanding, resulting in a smooth finish. Great for precision grinding applications when you need to sand your surface to a specific tolerance. Use these rolls in channels, fillets, recesses, contours, sidewalls, and other hard-to-reach spots. As the outer layer wears away, new abrasive is exposed. Also known as cartridge rolls.
The most common abrasive material, aluminum oxide is hard enough to sand steel and wood. It costs less than zirconium oxide ceramic but wears down faster.

Spiral-Wound Sanding Rolls for Stainless Steel and Hard Metals

Image of Product. Front orientation. Sanding Rolls. Spiral-Wound Sanding Rolls for Stainless Steel and Hard Metals, Straight.

    Straight

Coated with aluminum oxide ceramic, these rolls are sharp and dense enough to shape hard metals such as stainless steel, nickel, and cast iron without dulling quickly. The abrasive grit continually fractures to produce new, sharp cutting edges. It sands faster and lasts longer than aluminum oxide but requires more force to abrade properly. As the outer layer wears away, new abrasive is exposed. Also known as cartridge rolls. A shank adapter is required (sold separately).
Straight—Straight rolls are for use in channels, fillets, recesses, contours, sidewalls, and other hard-to-reach spots.
