About Sanding Abrasives

Adhesive-Back Sanding Discs

Press onto a compatible sanding tool or backup pad (sold separately); peel off to remove. Also known as PSA discs. To maintain strong adhesion, clean the pad surface with mild alcohol before applying. Do not use aggressive cleaning solvents such as MEK or acetone, which can damage the adhesive.

Discs with plastic abrasive backing have a coating that prevents dust and debris from building up on the abrasive surface. They also resist deterioration when used wet.

Cushioned Adhesive-Back Sanding Discs

The cushioned construction gives you more control over sanding pressure, creating finer and more consistent finishes. These discs resist deterioration when used wet. Press onto a compatible sanding tool or backup pad (sold separately); peel off to remove. Also known as PSA discs. Hook and Loop Vacuum Sanding Discs

Holes allow dust removal when used with a vacuum sander.

A slick coating prevents debris from accumulating on the abrasive surface and keeps operating temperatures low. Quickly attach, remove, and reuse discs with a compatible sanding tool or backup pad (sold separately). Discs with plastic backing resist deterioration when used wet.

Add an optional cushioning pad between the disc and backup pad. It has a foam layer that conforms to bumps and crevices and distributes pressure more evenly as you sand, leaving a finer and more consistent finish.
