These sockets require less clearance around bearings than standard hook spanner wrenches, so they’re good in tight spaces.     Changeable-Head Torque Wrenches

    Change heads to use these tools as an open-end, box, square drive, or hex-key wrench. The handle and head combination you choose may have different maximum torque values. Do not exceed the lower value. The handles come with a calibration certificate, which includes test measurements that confirm accuracy.
    You can tighten fasteners that require less torque than the values listed, but the accuracy ratings apply only within the specified range.

    Turn screws at an angle when you can’t access them head on. These L-keys have a ball tip on the long leg that engages the drive with less contact than a straight tip. Ball tips are handy for corners and tightly packed areas, such as control panels and junction boxes. However, they don’t grip as tightly as straight tips and may strip the drive of the fastener if you crank them too hard. These L-keys are precision manufactured to tight tolerances.

    Use one socket to switch between two fastener sizes. The spring-loaded innermost wall stays in place for smaller fasteners; push the socket onto a larger fastener and this wall slides out of the way.
    With twice as many corners, 12-point sockets grab onto hex-drive fasteners more quickly than 6-point sockets. They also match the external 12-point screws commonly found in heavy duty vehicles such as bulldozers and excavators. Also known as double-hex sockets.     Tighten or loosen nuts and bolts without damaging the finish.
