The button head looks similar to a pan head, but it's lower and more compact, taking up less space. With larger lobes than Torx drives, Torx Plus withstands even more torque without the driver slipping and stripping the drive.

Steel Torx Plus Rounded Head Thread-Forming Screws for Soft Metal

The deep, six-lobe recess keeps drivers from slipping when installing these screws in soft metals such as brass, aluminum, and copper. Torx Plus drives withstand even more torque than Torx. Also known as Taptite® screws, these have a tri-lobular shank that presses threads into material for a tight fit.
